About Leonard Grossman, M.D.
Dr. Grossman received his medical degree from New York
Medical College
in1985. He went on to complete his internship in General
Surgery at the
Beth Israel Medical Center from 1985 to 1988. In 1995
Dr. Grossman
completed his fully accredited Plastic Surgery residency
at Texas A&M and the Scott & White Hospital
after the completion of his fellowship in Microsurgery
at the Montefiore
Hospital Bronx, NY in 1990 and Burns and Reconstruction
fellowship at Jacobi Hospital Bronx, NY in 1991.
Since performing his first Liposuction under
all local anesthesia in 1993, Dr. Grossman
realized that the only way to get an ideal or “near
perfect” result in liposuction is to have the procedure
done with the patient standing. With the compliment
of excellent IV anesthesia and local, Dr. Grossman’s
patients do not have any discomfort, anxiety or unpleasant
memories of the procedure.
Since 1995 Dr. Grossman has been performing Liposuction
in such a way that his patients, as a rule, have no
postoperative pain, minimal or no bruising at all and
there is absolutely no need to wear compressive garments.
Dr. Grossman’s patients return to work the next day
most of the time, gym work outs are allowed in just
three days and going to the beach and open water swimming
is just fine in less than a week for the majority of
his patients.
Dr. Grossman is one of the most experienced in the
world, when it comes to the Transumbilical Breast Augmentation
(TUBA) technique, as he has been performing it since
1996, offering this wonderful procedure to many of his
patients seeking scarless breast enhancement surgery.
With this procedure, the incision is placed within the
confines of the navel, creating an augmentation without
obvious scars.
Dr. Grossman’s approach to facial rejuvenation is a
procedure, which has recently been warmly embraced by
many plastic surgeons world-wide. Dr. Grossman does
not believe that gravity has much to do with the aging
process, but instead, it is the gradual or a sudden
loss of volume that is responsible for the “deflation
effect” of the face. Using the patient’s own fat, Dr.
Grossman adds volume in the areas of the face creating
a younger, healthier looking face which resembles you
when much younger, not a “wind tunnel face” that patients
get after the face lift. Since 1995, Dr. Grossman’s
Fat Transfer Technique provides a unique, yet permanent
improvement in the face and body.
Dr. Grossman has been performing Brazilian Buttocks
Augmentations and Calf Augmentations using the patients
own fat as well. Results are natural looking, permanent
and pain free in the great majority of patients.
