While breast augmentation might be one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries in the world, but it’s not for everyone. The idea of a semi-permanent decision that will alter your body can lead to some anxiety. That is probably why one of the hottest cosmetic procedures today is called “vacation breast implants.” That’s right, for just $3,500, you can have a saline injection that will give you the boost you might be looking for.
The injection only lasts for 24 hours, as the saline (salt water) simply absorbs into the bloodstream. While the injection is gaining popularity, many doctors refuse to do them. For one, they are not yet FDA approved in the United States. Another theory that goes against this procedure is that since saline injections temporarily stretch the skin, you’re altering the underlying support of your breasts.
It’s hard to say if this procedure will continue to gain traction or if it’s just a fad. With the market segment seemingly being small considering the steep price for a 24 hour “fix,” we would lean on the side of temporary fad, unless the price comes down dramatically.
